Mr. Manuel's Class
| | Hello there...my name is Brent Manuel. This is my second year at Pleasant Valley High School and in Chico. They call it Viking country up here and I can truly see why.
A little about me...
I was born in Mississippi, and still have family back home that I dearly miss. I lived in Maine, San Diego, San Francisco. I have worked in most of these places including Los Angeles.
Before becoming a teacher I worked in advertising, marketing and publicity for more about 15 years. During that time I was able to see the world in a myriad of lights. I do miss the fast paced nature of the business, but I have found that high school keeps you on your toes.
I have been blessed in what I have experienced and hope to help your children have the skills to become whatever they want to be in the future. I live by the mottos "Work hard, play hard" and "Work smarter not harder". In this aspect I expect every child to show what gifts they have through whatever medium is necessary to be successful. This could be art, typing, speaking, or reading. I believe we all have the ability to succeed and all we need is the right key to unlock the door.
